Me

I qualified as a Graphic Designer at Camberwell College of Art and Design and after living and working in London got bitten by the travel bug (typical huh!). After returning from travelling I decided I wanted to experiement more with my own graphic design practice and knowledge and completed a Masters Degree in Graphic Design. I've worked for an extensive period of time with Careersmedia a marketing company based in Essex before going on to work for THA based in Leicestershire.

I consider graphic design to be both an addictive hobby and my job. If I'm not reading about it, I'm researching it or sitting in front of my Mac looking for new ways to develop my own practice. I'm highly motivated (as you need to be as a freelancer) and like to think I have an ability to understand client requirements and deliver effective, creative solutions within specified deadlines. Responsible for producing visual communications for various companies, including branding projects encompassing a range of TTL advertising. Interested in and inspired by guerilla marketing, my design style is often influenced by the concept of culture jamming. I'd like to think I have a 'can do' attitude, which sounds a little cliche but in terms of my own experimentation with new software and hardware I'd like to think it is true.

Graphics aside, I'm well travelled, including glacier walks and white water rafting in New Zealand, ceremonial Kava drinking in Fiji and alfresco dining in the outback in Australia (the flies can get in the way of a decent meal). Recognised and renowned as the first person in my hometown to ever use Spotify (though that may be difficult to prove). I love finding quirky hidden TV gems such as Flight of the Conchords - shows that turn reality on its head to make you laugh. I possess a full and clean driving license (including 20ft camper vans complete with en suite).
